Job Description :
The Red Hat Global Support Services team is seeking a highly skilled Technical Support Engineer to provide dedicated phone and online support to our enterprise subscription customers.
As a Technical Support Engineer, you'll need to become a Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) and come up to speed with our storage system. You will also need exceptional diagnostic capacities, and be able to communicate complex information concisely and effectively.
In this role, you will become an expert in Red Hat storage technologies, Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), and our cloud solutions while troubleshooting and resolving customers' technical issues.
The customers you'll deal with are often other engineers, so developing your technical skills is imperative.
Primary Responsibilities:
Work on customer cases
Create, modify, and publish knowledge articles
Provide an excellent customer experience
Be proactive in providing customer updates
Log bugs and defects, and interact with the Engineering team
Skill Sets :-
Candidate must be a Bachelor's degree in engineering or computer science is preferred; equivalent experience within the enterprise IT sector will also be considered
Must Posses 4+ years of professional JEE platform experience
Candidate must have Experience with one or several JEE or app server technologies like JBoss, WebSphere, WebLogic, JMS, web services, servlets, JSP, JDBC, Hibernate, Struts, Teiid, Metametrix, Arquillian, Drools, RichFaces, Tomcat, or Datasources
Solid knowledge of the JEE platform
Candidate must have Good understanding of Java programming APIs and popular Java frameworks is preferred
Candidate must have Experience with databases and SQL
ECandidate must have xcellent troubleshooting and debugging skills, with a passion for problem solving and investigation
Ability and willingness to learn new open source middleware technologies
Clear and effective English communications skills
